
Timeline
We started demolition in May of 2025 and our goal is to have the home completed by May 2026. (Our original target was March of 2026 but has been revised)
Work Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Sundays and statutory holidays – no work.
These work hour guidelines are set by the District of North Vancouver. If any work is being performed outside of these hours please let us know.
Potential Disruptions & things to expect
- Increased noise levels during work hours.
- Potential temporary road obstructions for deliveries.
- Additional contractor vehicles parked nearby.
- Some dust and debris.
Safety Considerations
For everyone’s safety, please be mindful of construction activity, equipment, and temporary fencing. If you have young children or pets, we recommend extra caution when near the site.

Details about the house
We are very excited to start this project, which we have been working on for nearly two years! Our family has lived in this neighbourhood since 1982, and we feel blessed to be part of such a great community here on Limerick & Greenock. We look forward to creating a space where we can continue to live for many years. This shared living space will be for Rosemary, Chenier, and Jalissa (and future kids).
WHY REBUILD?
Initially, we wanted to renovate the house. However, the scope of the renovation kept expanding to the point where it was nearly the same price as rebuilding the house entirely. During the process of exploring and designing a major renovation, we also discovered several structural issues with the home that raised concerns.
CREATIVE HOMEs & DEVELOPMENT
Around this time, we met Mike from Creative Homes. His father and uncle have been building homes in the Greater Vancouver area, including Lynn Valley, for decades. After touring one of their recently completed projects, we were sold on the idea of starting from scratch.

The rendering above is a close approximation of what the house will look like from the outside. Here’s a few details about what’s going on inside:

- 5.5 bathrooms
- 2-bedroom legal suite
- 2 car garage
